Primary

Sunday, November 10th I did my very first primary program! My first primary calling was given to me this year as primary chorister and as of now, I love it! In the beginning, it stressed the heck out of me because it was sooo much! Now that I'm used it, planning is a little easier and everything has fallen into place much better. I didn't really know the work that actually goes into being in the primary and boy is there a lot. I didn't know what I was missing though! There's just something about it that you can't get anywhere else in other callings. Our kids are so good and even though it's difficult to be 28 weeks pregnant, have a 19 month old that struggles in nursery, have a husband working half the time, and still do the music, I still love it and I love them.

On Sunday, they sang so loud and so wonderfully, I couldn't have asked anymore from them. They all did so well on their talks and I know their parents were so proud. I got emotional during A Child's Prayer and couldn't help but feel the spirit so strong. These kids are so special and I'm so grateful I've gotten to know them. I still struggle with names, but who doesn't with a whole primary of kids? I hope next year will be even better now that I know how the primary flows. I just hope I can stay on top of everything since I'm having another baby in January!

The morning of our program, I hit 28 weeks. My third trimester! So crazy how fast this pregnancy has gone. It's going to continue to fly by right before my eyes with the holidays approaching. Soon we'll be greeting a new member of our family! And we're so excited!

Here's to all the primary workers out there: You're all wonderful! I hope your programs went great. And thanks to our amazing primary and the leaders for making our program so special. Love you all!

Halloween 2013

Halloween this year was so much fun! Earlier in the month we got a little bit of a Halloween bonus by partying in Ogden (see previous post)! We got some fun pictures of all of our boys in their costumes. After Ogden, my talented sister, Alli, created some super cute Halloween cards for all the boys. She got some wonderfully sweet pictures of all our little spooks and here is how Tayen's turned out:
Doesn't he make the cutest monkey? I'm in love with those two bottom teeth!
Look at those cute cousins! Brycen the doctor and all his cute little animal patients. They sure love each other :) Thanks Alli for creating these adorable cards for all of us. Our family members really enjoyed getting these in the mail!

Halloween 2013
The day of Halloween we went to Blackfoot to Grandma and Grandpa Miles' to Trick-Or-Treat. We visited more family, got some yummy candy, and then had lunch at Wingers. It was a great day! That evening we Trick-Or-Treated to more family in Idaho Falls and then off to Grandma and Grandpa O'Connor's! From there, Tayen's cousin Boston, Aunt Britney, and I went Trick-Or-Treating to a couple more houses around the neighborhood.
Mom the skeleton (with her skeleton baby) and little monkey.
Boston and Tayen running up to The Bush's door. These two were so darn cute!
Grandma O'Connor made us all chili and cornbread! YUM

Happy Halloween!!

Tayen: 19 Months
Well I can't believe my little boy is 19 months! In fact in only a couple weeks he'll be 20 months! Here's the recent scoop on Mr. Tayen:

*****
1. He loves sweets. I wish he didn't, but his dad and I are both addicts. NO getting around this one.
2. He is a complete Momma's Boy, 100%.
3. He says "Momma"," Dadda", "Hi", and "Bye Bye" (and probably a few more that I can't really make out).
4. He absolutely loves all the Toy Story movies. He covers his eyes when Buzz falls and breaks his arm and he's terrified of the monkey in Toy Story 3. Other than that he just loves them.
5. Tayen loves ritz crackers, pasta, potatoes, beans, organic fruit pouches, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, chicken nuggets, strawberry nutrigrain bars, cereal, and toast.
6. He loves listening to me sing, but...
7. ...He now gags himself for fun AFTER I sing him a song. He loves it while I sing to him and then when I finish, his finger goes immediately to his throat. I don't know why, it just does ha ha.
8. He is doing so much better in Sacrament Meeting and has lasted the whole time the last two times. However, he is struggling in Nursery. In time, I know he'll be much better and he'll want to stay. Right now it's super tough though with my calling as Primary Chorister, especially when Che isn't there. Luckily I get to go in to nursery the last little bit for singing time :)
9. Because of our new addition coming in January, Tayen is now successfully sleeping in a toddler bed! He's doing so great and we're so proud of him. He sleeps through the night 95% of the time right now and hopefully it stays that way. I'm so relieved that we've gotten over that hurdle. I was so paranoid and scared of making this change and he did it with flying colors. Proud mom!
10. He gets a haircut pretty much every month! I can't believe how fast it grows. We like his hair shorter especially because of how much easier it is to do his hair. Plus he looks so handsome!
11. He LOVES bathtime and could probably flood the bathroom if we weren't there!
12. Tayen loves cars, cars, and more cars. If he's a good boy, Santa might bring him a big one!
13. One cute thing Tayen does is he picks out a book, goes and sits on his toddler bed, and he looks at it forever. It's the sweetest thing.
14. He is around 22 pounds now (maybe a little more) and has 7 teeth. He wears size 4 diapers, and (this is random), he sometimes walks on his toes.
15. He is so darn sweet. He gives kisses, hugs, and he has a super contagious smile.

This future big brother is ready to take on the world! He's growing up so fast and we are so proud of him and all of his big milestones over the past 19 months! Love you Tay!
